Lorraine Kelly has addressed Scotland’s 5-1 defeat to Germany in the Euro 2024 opener.
After posting an affectionate picture at the event with her husband Steve, the ITV star faced a wave of disappointed comments from followers. The pair were part of a large Scottish fan group present for Scotland’s first match of the tournament.
In her post, the 64-year-old presenter remarked: “Obviously not the result we wanted but I salute all the brilliant Scotland fans who made the trip over and who had so much hope and faith. It’s by no means over but we are all gutted tonight x.”
Keeping a positive attitude despite the loss, she went on to say: “Still managing a smile at the end! Me and @stevesmithdundee – we came – we saw we lost – but best footie fans in the world – and we enjoyed the party #noscotlandnoparty #tartanarmy.”
